Aoxun Metal Storage Shed with Floor

I'm very happy with this shed. I'm a 63 year old woman and I was able to put this together myself with my 82 year old mother helping hold up panels on occasion and retrieve the occasional screw I dropped. First I built a foundation with pressure treated wood and set it on some concrete pavers to give it some airflow around the wood. Then I sorted all of the shed parts and started the assembly. I did not peel off the plastic coating on the pieces. I figured I'd get it assembled and if our summer heat released the plastic, I'd take care of it then. So far the plastic wrap still hasn't come loose and the shed still looks good. Mostly the instructions were good even though they are pictures only. There were a couple of places that could have used better explanations but got it figured out. Nothing major. All of the parts lined up well. Keep in mind, because this is a thin formed metal it flexes so the holes might seem slightly off until the part is seated properly. But if the holes didn't line up at all, I checked to see if I was adding the part in the wrong position and that was usually the case. There was one or two locations where the holes were actually little off, but I was using an electric screw driver (HIGHLY recommended for this project) and let the sheet metal screws push through. I did order the floor kit. The kit is basically just corrugated plastic panels so that might matter to you depending on what you are storing. It makes for a nice finish and was a good addition for our needs. Because there is a small gap around the doors and I knew we would be watering the lawn around the shed, I added car door seal stripping to the door edge. to keep the water out and that has worked great. We have very hot summers and I wanted something that I thought would stay on. So far it's working. We've had a few rainstorms and I checked the shed after each one and there hasn't been any water inside so it doesn't leak. If we had more extreme weather I would have probably gone with a stronger wood shed but this one is strong enough and works perfectly for my needs. It's also much more budget friendly. The latch could probably be better but it works and it keeps the door closed. One other note - it's actually gray and black. I bought it because it said brown and looked brown and tan in the photos but it's definitely not brown. Regardless of the color, I'm still happy I chose this shed.

I will start by saying I have NEVER put together anything of the sort. My 17 year old and I tackled this project and finished in 2 days (broken up due to lack of sunlight). That said, following the directions, it took us a total of like 8 hours. The boxes are super heavy so if possible, have the delivery guy put it where you’ll be building. The booklet gives pretty thorough instructions but there are a lot of pieces. Everything fit together just right until I got to the floor lol. It’s together but not quite like it was supposed to be hahahaha. There are many screws and not any extras. So be careful. We lost a few and managed but I wish I had known that there were no extras. The door was easy to set up and the lock works well. Keys are included as well. Not thinking I ever want to build another shed but I will say I was pretty proud of the fact that we got it together and working as a shed. Has been through a few storms and held up well, no leaking.

I love this shed but there are some major flaws to consider. Follow the instructions, but I would advise reading one page ahead so you don’t have to go back and unscrew something you just did in order to do the next step. That was very annoying! Also the floor, wtf happened with the floor? They do not have holes where they want you to put screws in the floor. I tried drilling holes but it still wouldn’t work because the screws were not long enough to hold the pieces they wanted together. I eventually just laid the floor down and left all the useless pieces out of the floor. This shed will test your patience but it was cheap and gets the job done.

Follow directions and it turns out great. Going to put doors on in a couple days. I can usually complete my project myself, But definitely needed my Wife’s help holding the first few pieces up. I built a solid platform before building the shed on top of it.

It looks so much better than I thought it would for the price. Took me 2 days to build by myself( 4 hours per day).I would recommend not building on a windy day. Use an extra pair of hands to hold the initial side panels when putting together. It will make the build faster. It works for what I needed it for. Looks very nice when finished.

Was not that hard to assemble if you take your time and assemble some pieces like the doors and floors ahead of time! If you think the holes don’t line up maybe you have the wrong panel or it is upside down! Didn’t have to redrill any holes! I didn’t want to peel off the plastic protective coating from the panels unless they were already starting to peel themselves. Read that the simplest way to remove the coating was to use Gorilla Heavy Duty Duct tape to the top of the panel and after sticking it to pull sharply and the entire panel could be removed fairly easily!!! The finished product looks great and glad I ordered the shed with the floor!

The instruction booklet was a little confusing and I also had two pieces missing

I was rather skeptical at first about whether or not I wanted to buy this shed. There are mixed reviews, some saying that the holes didn't align and the parts were dented. Some of my panels were indeed dented, but that's what you can expect for a full metal shed at this price. This is very thin gauge material so it will bend and it doesn't take much to dent. But my overall experience with this shed was very good. The first piece I put together the holes were not lining up. I was about to do what some others had suggested and drill my own pilot holes. But then I took another look at the detailed instructions and realized the holes did not line up because of my mistake. I had flipped one of the pieces on the base. After that, I was much more careful to make sure I had the correct pieces that I was trying to install and all the holes aligned. The entire process took me less than five hours and now I have a very nice looking shed. You can go spend a lot more money buying something that is already put together or is made of a sturdier material. But I am quite satisfied with what I have in this product.

I put this together less than I week. With no help. I’m 2 months postpartum.

I was reluctant after reading the reviews but decided to buy it and see for myself. The assembly by my contractor and two trainees went very smoothly. I recommend putting some water proof plywood under the flooring as it’s a little flimsy . We framed the ground and added 11 cubic foot of drainage stone and it seems to have helped support the floor. Before fall I will take the flooring up and add osb board the put the flooring back down. All around nice shed with all holes lined up perfectly.

The tool shed is situated in the backyard; the ground requires paving, making it an ideal spot for storing tools and miscellaneous items.

Over all easy to assemble but should have longer screws and a paint marker

We got the 8x6 shed. It came in 2 boxes, over 2 days. We are 61 and 69 yrs old. It took us about 8 hours over a weekend to get this put together. Lay out and check all your pieces, there are a LOT of them. The instructions are VERY clear. You must however, take your time, and read each page, figuring out exactly how each piece fits together, and they do fit together very well. Wear your gloves, and do Just do exactly what the instructions say, and you will be fine. We had a bit of an issue with the doors frames, just make sure the big holes are outside, and the tiny holes are inside on every hole. The screws won’t work if you don’t. The pieces seem kind of flimsy alone, but when put all together … work beautifully! You will need a step ladder to put it together, unless you are a giant! We will however get some spray insulation and flex seal for a lot of the “holes”, gaps and openings in the roof and floor, we are in florida, and have lots of spiders, bugs, hornets, lizards, ants and the like! And we will be bolting it down to the cement. There are holes in the floor corners to do that. The floor is really handy, put together nicely! Again - follow the instructions. Lots of screws and small bolts, work like they should! Price was ok as well! And we both recommend this shed!

This tool room is neither big nor small. It's very suitable for a small place in the backyard. It doesn't take up space. You can put what you want in it. It's very good.

The materials is thin, so multiple components arrived bent and needed unwarping during the installation process. Also, some of the parts were mislabeled so additional time was added for assembly because I had to use the diagrams and instruction manual to figure which parts were which. That being said, assembly was straightforward and the structure is study and sound once fully put together. We got hit with a huge storm within a week of me putting it together and it held strong. It comes with its own floor but I recommend building a base for it. I used a combination of wooden pallets and 4x8 sheets for mine, and I was able to anchor the shed to the base through the exterior floor framing. Surprisingly spacious, lots of storage room.

This is a good shed for the price. I like that it has a floor. Don't expect perfection in the panels... And the plastic takes a longtime to remove from them. I built it last night... Does what sheds are known to do!
